For years, the Enea Group has been supporting the competition of the world's best triathletes taking part in the Gdynia competition under the IRONMAN brand. The cooperation between one of the leaders of the energy market in the country and the Sport Evolution agency, the sole organizer of the IRONMAN competition in Poland, has been extended for another year and extended by a full-distance race.
The Enea IRONMAN Gdynia and Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia competitions are scheduled for the weekend of August 6-8, 2021. It will be the only and unique opportunity to take part in the first race in Poland at the legendary full distance. When running to the finish line, triathletes will be able to hear the announcer's characteristic shout: "You are an IRONMAN!". The best competitors will also have a chance to win a pass to the IRONMAN World Championship. There will be 30 slots for the iconic championship held in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
The IRONMAN Group, owner of the IRONMAN, IRONMAN 70.3 and 5150 Triathlon Series brands, is the largest operator of mass sports events in the world, serving over 1 million event participants from its global portfolio annually. In 2021, 4 races under the IRONMAN brand will take place in Poland:
- Citi Handlowy IRONMAN 70.3 Warsaw – June 6, 2021;
- Citi Handlowy 5150 Warsaw – June 6, 2021;
- Enea IRONMAN Gdynia – August 8, 2021;
- Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia – August 8, 2021.
Registration for all IRONMAN events in Poland takes place on the SlotMarket.pl platform. Currently, there are almost 4.5 thousand competitors on the starting lists.
Enea supports both professional and youth sports. It is the title sponsor of, among others volleyball and basketball teams in north-west Poland and triathlon events, incl. Enea Bydgoszcz Triathlon. Sports education of children is promoted under the Enea Akademia Sportu project. It is also a sponsor of the Polish Olympic Committee and the Polish Olympic Team, as well as the Polish Association of Rowing Societies and the Polish Table Tennis Association. The brand's ambassador is Natalia Partyka, a titled table tennis player and multiple participant in the Olympic Games, medalist of the Paralympic Games.
