The IRONMAN Poland Board of Experts has been appointed!

The IRONMAN Experts Board is an advisory body. The members of the Board are prominent representatives of the triathlon community in Poland - leading AG athletes and coaches from leading clubs. Meet our experts with whom we consult the assumptions and new organizational IRONMAN events in Poland.

The Board of Experts IRONMAN Poland currently consists of 11 people. In this group are the legends of Polish triathlon. The athletes who competed in the first triathlon events in Poland in 1984 in Kiekrz. The knowledge is shared with us by multiple participants and medalists of IRONMAN World Championship and Polish Championship. We use the experience of the best Polish triathletes and triathletes competing in the PRO and Age Group categories. Meet the Board of Experts IRONMAN Poland:

  • Jerzy Górski - an institution in the Polish triathlon; 1990 world champion in double IRONMAN; after finishing his professional career, an organizer of many sports events. His life story is the basis for the biographical book by Łukasz Grass entitled "The Best. When Weakness Becomes Strength' and the feature film 'The Best' directed by Łukasz Palkowski.
  • Stanisław Zajfert - a veteran and a pioneer of triathlon in Poland; a participant of the first triathlon competitions in our country, which took place in 1984 in Kiekrz near Poznań. Two-time participant of the legendary IRONMAN Kona in Hawaii.
  • Bogumił Głuszkowski - 9-time individual Polish Champion in triathlon on all distances, three times qualified and raced at the legendary IRONMAN Kona World Championship; the owner of the CITYZEN club in Poznań, personal trainer and motivational speaker.
  • Artur Czerwiec - was successful in soccer, but at the age of 30 - due to a knee injury - he retired. He took up swimming, but it bored him a bit. In his 40s, he found a new passion: triathlon. In 2022, he won the European Olympic distance title in the 45-49 age group.
  • Zbigniew Gucwa - former professional cyclist, trainer, founder of the Gucwa Velo Trainer project and director of the professional triathlon team GVT BMC Triathlon Team.
  • Mikołaj Luft - until recently a leading PRO competitor, Polish national champion on the middle distance, Polish vice-champion on the long distance; currently a coach, founder of the Luft Tri Team.
  • Tomasz Spaleniak - started to train triathlon in 2009, he specializes in IRONMAN 70.3 distance; for several years he helps as a personal trainer within Endure Team. 
  • Mateusz Kaźmierczak - for many years a leading PRO athlete, Polish triathlon championships medalist, who after ending his career develops as a coach. His protégée is Paulina Klimas, 4th competitor in the 2021 European Championships; the leader of Kazika's training group.
  • Rafał Pierścieniak - founder of Kuźnia Triathlonu, which has been preparing amateurs to start competitions since 2011; Kuźnia Triathlonu is one of the most recognizable communities in this discipline in Poland.
  • Ewelina Wołos - leading Polish age grouper within the TriWawa training group; she has stood on the podium of IRONMAN events in Poland and around the world many times.
  • Anna Lechowicz - one of the most inspiring age groupers. A mother of three and a veterinarian; she started training at the age of 30, after two years she was in the lead in Poland, and after three years she was fighting for the podium at the world championships.
