Enea IRONMAN Gdynia is a cult triathlon competition in our country, being part of the global IRONMAN series. Sports emotions will start on Friday, August 4, when children and young people will compete in short distances in the aquathlon formula. Friday evening, on the other hand, will belong to runners - at 10:00 PM the Night Run Gdynia will start, which is a night run over a distance of 5 km, with the route leading along the Nadmorski Boulevard and the finish line located on the beach
On Saturday and Sunday, we are in for purely triathlon emotions. On August 5, participants of the Sprint Triathlon Gdynia powered by sportano.pl will start, while on Sunday, August 6, the culmination of the whole weekend, i.e. the main Enea IRONMAN Gdynia competition and the half shorter Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia competition with the participation of PRO athletes.
Where to cheer?
Throughout the weekend, the finish line of the competition will be set up in the middle of Gdynia’s Śródmieście Beach with publicly available stands, which everyone will be able to enter for free. This is where the “magic happens”, for which Gdynia’s competitions are famous all over the world. There, fans - along with announcers and a DJ - applaud the winners, and even louder welcome those who reach the finish line last, after dark, after several hours of fighting on the route.
This year, the organizers of the competition and their partners will also take care of loud support along the entire running route. On a 7-kilometer loop, as many as 5 official cheering points will be created, where everyone can come and join in cheering. What’s more, a kind of city game will be organized, in which participants will have to visit all cheering points and collect special stamps there. A complete set of stamps will allow you to receive a small gift at a designated point near Śródmieście Beach in Gdynia.
Attractions for the whole family
However, not only the running route and the finish line of the competition will be full of life, but also the entire Gdynia beach - and that’s for the whole weekend! The partners of the event - Enea and sportano.pl - will take care of that. Both companies will prepare special family zones, where there will be plenty of attractions for the youngest and slightly older.
In the sportano.pl zone, there will be, among others, a climbing wall and a trampoline for children. You will also be able to test SUPs and electric boards.
The Enea family zone, on the other hand, will be a place for good fun and relaxation. Among the attractions there will be, among others: a beach bar with cold lemonades and healthy juices, skimboard, photo mosaic, 3D workshops, game machines and numerous sports activities for children and adults
Both zones will be open on Friday, August 4 from 12-8 PM, as well as on Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM-8 PM.
The weekend with Enea IRONMAN Gdynia promises to be really exciting, and there will be no boredom either on the competition route or outside it.
