IRONMAN Poland 2022: registration starts on Nov. 2

We already know the registration opening dates for next year's IRONMAN competition in Poland. On November 2, registration for Enea IRONMAN Gdynia will be launched, and on December 7 - for Citi Handlowy IRONMAN 70.3 Warsaw. In both cases, registrations for accompanying races will start simultaneously.

Enea IRONMAN Gdynia

Following the example of this year's competition, also in 2022 athletes will have the opportunity to start in Gdynia, in the full-distance IRONMAN competition. On August 7, "iron people" will have 3.8 km of swimming in the Baltic Sea to cover, 180 km of cycling on a hilly and picturesque route in Kashubia and 42.2 km of running along Gdynia's streets. The finish will traditionally take place on the City Beach, which is a guarantee of great emotions enhanced by the applause of a large group of supporters. Of course, next year's edition of the event will also offer a so-called half distance - Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia, as well as individual and relay competitions in the Sprint Triathlon Gdynia.

Registration for the events in Gdynia will start on November 2 this year on the SlotMarket.pl portal.

Citi Handlowy IRONMAN 70.3 Warsaw

After the successful debut of Citi Handlowy IRONMAN 70.3 Warsaw, the great triathlon also returns to the capital city of Poland, and its program will also include the popular "olympic distance" - Citi Handlowy 5150 Warsaw. Unforgettable sports emotions will flood the streets of Warsaw on June 12, 2022. Apart from swimming in the Zegrzyńskie Lake and the very fast bike course, the biggest attraction of this event is undoubtedly, running along the streets of the Old and New Town, with the finish line in the Multimedia Fountain Park. Due to these tourist advantages, already in the first edition of the event, over 40% of the athletes were guests from abroad, who could get to know the Polish capital during the competition.

Registration for the events in Warsaw will start on December 7 at the SlotMarket.pl portal.

Changes in 2022

In the following season The organizers of IRONMAN events in Poland are planning several important improvements for the athletes, compared to this year's competitions in Gdynia and Warsaw.

We will gradually reveal more details, but now I can tell that we are planning to significantly modify the starting times of individual races so that they are more friendly to both athletes and their families or supporters. Therefore, we are planning to slightly shift the starting hours in Warsaw to facilitate the morning logistics of the competitors related to the journey to the Zegrzyńskie Lake. In Gdynia, on the other hand, a significant shift in the start time of the Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia race can be expected, thanks to which the first competitors will finish in the afternoon hours, which will allow a larger group of fans to admire them at the finish line.

The organizers also hope that the next season will be much less marked by the limitations resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks to this, both events will be able to provide competitors and fans with a similar or even higher level of emotions, attractions and comfort as before the pandemic.

The best price in Europe

Preparations and start in triathlon competitions are often associated with quite large financial outlays on the part of the participants. At the same time, the organization of such complex competitions in large cities, taking into account the highest standards of IRONMAN, entails huge organizational costs.

We are doing everything to keep the prices of starter packages as attractive as possible, despite the constant and ever faster increase in organizational costs. I can assure you that in the 2022 season, the Polish IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 events will still offer the most attractive prices in Europe, although the entry fee will slightly increase compared to the last season. A pleasant surprise awaits the athletes participating in Citi Handlowy 5150 Warsaw - there we plan to slightly lower the price for participation in the competition. The Sprint Triathlon Gdynia entry fees, on the other hand, will remain unchanged. We hope that this will be an additional incentive for those who are just starting their adventure with the triathlon and want to face these shorter distances.

As in previous years, the best athletes from each age category at competitions in Warsaw and Gdynia will be able to obtain slots entitling them to start in the IRONMAN or IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships. On the full distance in Gdynia and on both "halves" there will be a minimum of 30 slots to win.
