Enea becomes a title sponsor of IRONMAN events in Gdynia and Poznań!

Enea has prolonged its cooperation with IRONMAN Poland. Enea will be the exclusive title sponsor of the competition in the capital of Wielkopolska region - Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań. The leading Polish energy company will also remain the title sponsor of IRONMAN triathlon competition in Gdynia.

Enea Group has for years supported the world's best triathletes competing in IRONMAN events in Gdynia. The cooperation between one of the leaders of the energy market in Poland and the Sport Evolution agency, the exclusive organizer of the IRONMAN competition in Poland, has been extended for another year and broadened to include the race in Poznań.

Poznań is a special city for us, it is where Enea has its headquarters. The north-western region of Poland is also where most of our customers live. We are very happy that after several years of fruitful cooperation we were able to attract the IRONMAN competition also to the capital of Wielkopolska. I hope that Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań, powered by the energy of Enea, will become one of the biggest and best triathlon events in Poland, just like the competitions held in Gdynia.

In 2022, on the map of host cities of Polish IRONMAN events will debut Poznan. The capital city of Wielkopolska Region will host the competition during the weekend of 2-4 September. Participants of the premiere edition of Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań, in addition to the "half", will also race the Olympic distance - Enea 5150 Poznań. The best in the competition will receive slots for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships.

This year's Enea IRONMAN Gdynia and Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia are scheduled for the weekend of 5-7 August 2022. It will be the second edition of the legendary IRONMAN full distance race. Running into the finish line, the triathletes will hear the characteristic shout of the announcer: "You are an IRONMAN!". The best will also have a chance to win a pass to the IRONMAN World Championship. There will be 45 slots for the iconic championship held in Kailua-Kona in Hawaii.

In the competition organized at the Polish seaside, athletes can also traditionally start at a distance half as short as Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia. Since 2016, the energy concern Enea has been a sponsor of this competition, the title sponsor since 2017, so in total this will be the 7th year of cooperation.

Extending the agreement for titular sponsorship of IRONMAN triathlon events held in Gdynia allows us to develop the event and set more ambitious goals every year. A year ago we debuted the long-awaited by many triathletes full IRONMAN distance, which will be a dream come true for many participants, also now on 7 August 2022 during Enea IRONMAN Gdynia. Additionally, thanks to Enea's support, we would like to invite all triathletes to the premiere event in Poznań. From this year, the capital of Wielkopolska region will join Gdynia and Warsaw as the hosts of the most prestigious and biggest triathlon competitions in Poland.

Both during the triathlon weekend organized on the occasion of Enea IRONMAN Gdynia as well as Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań there will be plenty of attractions waiting for the fans of all ages. On the city beach in Gdynia and at MTP grounds in Poznań there will be special IRONMAN cities with Enea Zones, full of games, sports competitions for kids and adults.
