Boris Stein is the IRONMAN 70.3 European Champion and 7th place competitor in the IRONMAN World Championships. The titled triathlete from Germany has also on his account very successful starts during the competition in Gdynia. He debuted in Poland in 2014. Three years later he again competed in our country winning Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia. During last year's competition he also counted in the fight for victory. We asked Boris Stein what was the most memorable thing about Polish IRONMAN events.

IRONMAN in Poland is a mixture of modern cities and peaceful landscape. The moment I remember most from the past years was the special scenery by the Baltic Sea on the morning of the race, creating tension for me and the other athletes.

Boris Stein also has a piece of advice for all triathletes and those who are planning to participate in IRONMAN events in Poland.

Boris Stein
The only thing I recommend to amateurs of different age groups is to work on their speed on short distances before they decide to start the longer distance. The great advantage of the IRONMAN series in Poland is that you can choose your favourite distance. However, I encourage everyone to focus on speed first, and only in the next stages to work on endurance on the long distance.
